I haven't blogged for several weeks because of being busy. No movie or book of the week this week. Sorry.
Memory Verse of the Week
The Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17 (NIV)

I just went outside to get the mail. Remember I mentioned the futon? It's up in my room, and I love it! Even though I haven't blogged for several weeks, that's it for this week.

Cary's Thoughts
Yes, it's time for another post.
Movie of the Week
The movie: Benji
About: A dog having his routine from day to day. He finally finds a home and helps someone. He also finds a mate, Tiffany. Wonderful!
Book of the Week
The book: Old Yeller by Fred Gipson
About: A fourteen-year-old boy finds a dog on the porch of their cabin. He doesn't like the dog at first, but then the dog later saves the boy's younger brother from a bear. Good, but with a sad ending. Recommended as a 10 on a scale of one to ten.
Memory Verse for the Week
Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship.
Romans 12:1 (NIV)

I got a movie for saying last month's memory verses yesterday. It is called Pamela's Prayer. It's a really good movie. I have read some today. The book I am reading, or the one I have mentioned, is a Happy Hollister book. It's really good. I am cleaning out my room to get a futon. It is my birthday present. It'll be worth getting rid of all those toys. I am SOOOOO excited about it! That's it for this week.

Cary's Thoughts
Hi! My name is Cary. I live in Missouri, home school, and attend an Assembly of God church. My favorite animals are horses, flamingos, dolphins, and koalas. I would like to have a horse, and am saving for one, but I guess I will have to wait for one, if I ever get one. I hope you can read this print and will enjoy this web site. Boys and girls both can be on here. Enjoy!
Note: If I ever go on vacation or anything, it will be in my blog, or web log. Check it out. No predators allowed.
Movie of the Week
The movie: Misty
About: A boy and girl wanting a wild horse, this one a Chincoteague Pony. At the end, when they have the horse, they let her go, as she is unhappy. Before that, she had a baby, or foal, this time a female, girl, or filly. They name her Misty, and she stays. To find out more, get the movie and watch it, or read the book, Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry.
Book of the week
The book: Black Beauty by Anna Sewell
About: A horse going from place to place with owners both kind and mean. It's told in the horse's point of view. Highly recommended.
Memory Verse for the Week
In Sunday School, I memorize a verse and get a prize for it. It helps if I practice typing it. (typewriter or computer :) (<-- that's a smiley face) Here's the verse for the week: (stay with me; trust me, you'll want to) Acts 12: 24 The word of God continues to increase and spread. My Blog
Monday, March 27, 2006
I just got an idea from my mom last week for this blog. I am testing this week for school, Iowa Achievement Test. I think I will do well. I will try to update this blog every Monday. That's it for now.
What's a Blog, Anyway?
A blog is short for web log. I bolded that part, so you would understand how the word blog came about. For more information on this topic, click this link:
